Titel: F4-F8 in MFX with IB in WinDigipet?
Beitrag von: Per Olsen in 26. Oktober 2007, 21:39:48
Hello !

I just bought a new loco from Maerklin with MFX decoder.  I am using WinDigipet with Intellibox.  The loco runs fine, and the F1-F4 also works fine.  But how do I use the F5-F8 functions?  I have activated them in the Loco-section, for that loco, but it does not work.

I really hope I do not have to buy the (expensive) Control Station from Maerklin?  Any ideas?

Regards,
Per,
Bergen, Norway.

Hello Per,

You can mention the function f5-f8 about address 255.

do you have more loco with mfx? all of them make the noises that way.

Hello again !

Thank you for your reply !

Yes, I have now included the functions in adress 255, and that works OK.

Right now I have only 1 other loco with MFX, but that loco does not use the functions higher than F4.  But I am sure I will buy more locos that will have MFX and will need functions F5->  too.  So what then?  Will all the locos respond to the same F5 that I send for 1 loco?

Regards,
Per.

Hello Per,

This is no problem. With a programmer, perhaps with one from Henning Voosen, You can change the Number into another. So every engine has his own number.

Hello Per,

The mfx Decoder has two address CV01 to driving the Loco and Function f1-f4 and the two address CV75 for function f5-f8 you changing the CV75 with the programmer or with the IB.

Hello!

Thanks a lot !

I will try this.  Can you tell me how to do the programming on the IB?  I have a seperate programming-track, but I do not know how to program the MFX there.  I do know how to programm DCC-decoders there with the IB.  But how do I program the MFX there with the IB?

Best regards,
Per.

Hi!

If you have a Märklin 6021 its easy but with IB : i will try to translate the german text

Ich hoffe mit dieser Übersetzung niemandem zu nahe getreten zu sein, und hoffe daß sie soweit in Ordnung ist.

best regards Konrad

Hello again.

Thank you both, I have it OK now. With the Control Unit I could not program adresses as high as 250.  But I have it now, using the IB and the help I received here now.  I have programmed many other locos with IB, but not MFX.  MFX was a litlle tricky, but I have it OK now.

Thanks a lot !

Best regards,
Per.

Hello again,

Mfx doesn`t care about the IB. mfx is only for Märklin Central Station. For the IB is MM-Format or DCC.

The mfx Decoder has two address CV01 to driving the Loco and Function f1-f4 and the two address CV75 for function f5-f8 you changing the CV75 of 255 to 250 or 249. For changing the addres you read the Instructions, at this can not help you.
much success

Hello again.

Yes, as I already said, I have it OK now, thanks to the both of you.  I have already re-programmed the loco so that I now have the F5-F8 on adress 254 for this loco.  Better to do it this way, than to buy a new Central Station.  At least not yet, it is too expensive for me now.

Regards,
Per.
