Hello All,

What is the best way to upgrade from wdp 2012 to wdp 2015?  Should I uninstall wdp 2012 first, then install wdp 2015 or install wdp2015 over wdp 2012.  Do I use the same folder as wdp 2012?

I've already copied my projects to a separate usb stick.

Hi Elliott,

well, you should be able to install WDP 2015 over WDP 2012. But some users had problems here and they had to uninstall 2012 first. Just try it out. If it doesn't work with installing over the old version then uninstall the old one. You can't destroy WDP that way because you have a backup and you can install WDP any time again.

It goes into the same folder as WDP 2012.

Be sure to run the updates after installing the new version. Start the new start center and go to options/help (I don't have WDP right here so please have a look for the proper tab). This will update the English dictionary.

Till the version of WDP2012 the default directory for English version was C:\WDIGIPET_INT
Now, as there is no difference between basic language, i.e. German and English, default directory is C:\WDIGIPET
On my Win7 I keep both versions, just to look for some old stuff. It works.
