Titel: ESU eCOS Update 4.1.0
Beitrag von: Adrian L in 30. September 2015, 23:43:22
I see that the latest version of the ESU eCOS update has extensive changes to the PC interface.

Will this version work with WDP 2015?

Are there potential problems for older versions of WDP? (This question is for the other users - I only use WDP 2015).  :)

Hi Adrian,

the beta version of the new ESU firmware has been tested already before the release of WDP 2015. I do not expect any problems. I have not tested it explicitly with the older versions (but until now I don´t saw problematic changes, but this not guarantee).

Regards
Markus

Thank you for the fast response Markus.   :)

I will put on my hard hat and upgrade the eCOS later today.

The eCos is now upgraded to version 4.1.0 and WDP 2015 is working perfectly.

Thanks for the great work.  :)

Hi Adrian,

with this ECOS update you are now able to use the WDP built-in loco programmer!

I also tested programming on ECoS 50000 v.4.1.0 and WDP2015, and it works. So far on programming track, but finally WDP programming features can be used at the connection with ECoS.

Thanks for this information Stefan.. I have not tried any of the new features in WDP 2015 (except for the really excellent update service) as I was going to wait for the English manual.. At this stage, I am thrilled that my original project converted to 2015 without any problems and enabled me to continue to run my layout.  So I am not in any hurry to see the new manual.

That said, I am about to convert an old Marklin 3076 Br 515/815 railcar to M4 digital and I might use this new feature instead of the ESU Lokprogrammer to configure the decoder.
