Dear Peter Peterlin ,
I downloaded ver 9.2 in order to try to get rid of Tour editing problems, but everything got worse:

1: Installing the download gave the message: Program succesfully installed.

2: Tryingto start the program, I get the message that my original ver. 9.0 CD cannot be found, when the system is trying to check it.

3:I also got a message: The sonic.dla file do prohibit connetionto my cd-drive and should be deleted. - I have no such file on my PC.

I had some time ago to install Win-digipet in another folder than C\Windigipet because the system wouldn't allow the writeprotection to be disabled in the root C\, when I reinstalled my data after a repair.

Naturally I installed the download in the same new folder, and the program's date has also changed to 8. june 2006, so i guess that the right version is in the right place, but something else is wrong.

Can you help me out?

Hello Mr. Larsen,

one question: which original CD do you have ? The english update version 9.2 above from 19.12.2006 is only valid for the original english CD 9.0 !!

Hallo Mr. Larsen,

sorry for the delay.

A demand to the protect CD firm gave the following advise:

A Sonic driver is installed on your system! This driver checks the communications between applications and CD drive.
You can find this driver under: c:\windows\system32\vxblock.dll

To solve the problem try to delete this driver from your hard disk !!

If the problem exists please send a zipped SystemLog to my mail address or directly to Protect Support [support@protectdisc.com]

Dear mr Peter Peterlin,

thank you for your effort to solve WinDigipet start problems.

Unfortunately disabling the file vxblock.dll didn't do the job.

Actually I didn't remove the file, but I renamed nitto vxblock.hel in order to easyly reinstall it, since I don't know if it is nessecary for other applications. (If it isn't, then why is it installed in the first place?)

I will send the requested logfile, hoping that it will help, although it is in Danish. However I can inform that the time for the fault (fejl) is 20.Feb.14:59:18.

I tried t get more information via the Microsoft web-link on the supplementary informationwindow of the various events, but the answer was "sorry, no aditional information on this event" for all of them.
