Revers loop Mod. LK100
« am: 19. Oktober 2003, 05:13:57 »
Hallo
To all friends

Where can I find a  Reversing Loop Module (Revers loop Mod. LK100) for Connecting the Märklin decoder 7686 (turntable) to the Intellibox.

Perhaps somebody know about  another option to operate the turntable (without the Revers loop Mod. LK100).
Thanks
Uzi Zadikov

Uzi,

What kind of tracks are you using?
Märklin or another type.
By the way the correct catno for the digital turntable decoder is 7687. 7686 is the number of the turntable.

With kind regards, Wim

Dear Uzi,

The reverse loop (LK100) is not needed with 3-rail systems. It is only needed with 2-rail systeem. That is what workshop 15 is saying.
In your case you are connect the red wire to the connection for the third rail (in the center of the track) One brown connection goes straight to the brown supply wire. The other brown connetion point on the 7687 turntable decoder goes to one off the S88 contacts even so the three lamp connections. So there are four connections to a S88 decoder needed. In this way you can dectect the turntable. Also needed is the isolation of both outside tracks of the turntable.

With kind regards, Wim

Hi Uzi,

you don´t need any further decoders to connect the turntable 7686 (turntable 7286+decoder 7687).
Just refer to the WDP manual and the instruction manual of the turntable to connect it.

In addition I recommend to use WS10 (in German only) to modify and connect the turntable to make it more powerful to use in a digital and PC-controlled environment.

Hopefully there´s somebody in your neighbourhood who is able to translate the most important topics of that WS.

Regards

Rüdiger

Hi Uzi,

then I strongly recommend to use Workshop #10.
This WS by Norbert Burkert describes

- modifying the Märklin turntable to use a feedback contact
- connecting the turntable to the IB
- draw and configure the turntable within WDP to use for e.g. timetable operations.

If you modify your turntable as described in the WS, you can use standard feedback contacts like e.g. S88 or derivate.
