Question about English version of WDP 2009.1
« am: 07. Oktober 2009, 19:35:54 »
Hi all,

as for this thread http://www.windigipet.de/foren/index.php?topic=61733.0 the English version of Win-Digipet 2009.1 Premium is now available, so I have 2 questions:

-  there will be an English version of the Small Edition as in German language?

-  in the prices section of the German site (http://www.windigipet.de/win-digipet-preise/), it states:

Win-Digipet 2009 Small Edition
Die Einsteigerversion mit eingeschränktem Leistungs-Spektrum (siehe
hier
) ohne gedrucktem Handbuch (nur Online-Hilfe)

but "hier" does not point to any link, so I would like to know which are the main differences between the two versions, and specifically if the Small Edition could be connected to a Marklin CS2.

Regards,
Maurizio

Hi Maurizio,

in one thread Mr Peterlin pointed out that the differences between 2009 Small and 2009 Premium can be compared to those between Small X and Pro X.

I was too lazy to translate the differences ;) but I let Google do the job. If the English translation is sometimes strange you know why. :) But I think it's good enough to understand it. If not ask me. I exchanged the Google translation (which was tooooooo bad) by a different one created by another online service. This translation is better!

This is the German original page: http://www.windigipet.de/informationen-zu-win-digipet-dem-steuerungsprogramm-fuer-digitale-modelleisenbahnen/p_10/
and this is the automatic translation:
Win-Digipet Small X: All functions in the overview

    * A comfortable joystick control of the railroad engines was integrated into Win Digipet Small X, so that now also the play freaks come fully at her expense.
    * Up to 20 railroad engines can be steered directly in Win Digipet Small X. In the railroad engine data bank you can put down the other available railroad engines and administer if you put this simply on "glass cabinet".

Thanks Stefan ;),

it seems that for a small/medium size layout like mine and up to 20 locs the Small Edition "could" be enough.

It remains to understand if there will ever be an English version and if among the supported digital systems there is the Märklin CS2... any clue...?

Regards,
Maurizio
