Translation error
« am: 09. März 2010, 14:12:29 »
Hello all,

in the main program all text of the loco function icons will be shown in german language !

under the directory C:\WDIGIPET_INT\SYMBOLE should be a file with the name "FuncIcons_E.Dat".
This file contains the english text for the icons.

Rename this file to "FuncIcons.Dat".

in one of the later updates this will be corrected.

regards
Schöne Grüße aus Hürth

Hello Dr. Peterlin,

Thank you, I have made this change.  Do you mean that the description under the Loco Control will be in English when highlighted with the mouse?  This works with the exception of (f0 - spitzenbeleuchtung and f1 - Dampf)  I haven't tried all the icons.

Just for your info, existing locomotives in the locomotive database still show the german names under each function.  But that can be remedied with the Custom description.  Entering a new locomotive will allow you to use the English equivalent of the German text.

Thanks for your continued hard work with the program, I love it!

Elliott

Hello Dr. Peterlin,

I noticed in the directory C:\WDIGIPET_INT\SYMBOLE there are two files "FuncIcons_E.Dat" and "FuncIcons.Dat", I removed the "FuncIcons.Dat" and now the icon names looks to be in English. Should I renamed it "FuncIcons.Dat" or it is not necessary?

I am running WD 2009.3b

Thank you for your answer.

The FuncIcons_E.dat needs to be renamed to FuncIcons.dat, because simply deleting the FuncIcons.dat file will get WDP to read the FuncIcons_E.dat file, but it will only show the English text for the first 39 symbols (up to Miscellaneous) in the .dat file.  If you rename the FuncIcons_E.dat file to FuncIcons.dat you see all of the English text.

It was not fixed in release 2009.5 and it needs to be fixed before the next release so that when WDP knows to read the correct language file automatically it also knows to read the whole file..

There is another language error, i.e. when you open tour automatic editor and you define preconditions, some options seems to be in French or another language. Some are in English, just not in right place. Screen shot with such example:

I think, it came with one of updates. Before every label was with correct name.
Anyway, I like all the options with folder tree and such possibilities like and/or/nor. It works great even labels are a little bit mixed.
Thanks,
Kuba
