Uhlenbrock Power 7
« am: 17. November 2011, 16:11:40 »
Hi,

I am converting my analog layout to digital,  80M of tracks divided to 3 separated rounds.
I am planning to use IB-Com with Small X, and Uhlenbrock feedback modules.   running 3 (maybe 4) locomotives on each round
Can I use Power-7 boosters on each of the rounds?   I understand it is a bit of an overkill but I have the boosters already.

Thanks
Eran

Hello Eran,

You should be able to use them, but you should use thick cables between the booster and tracks to gurantee a working shortcut detection. This is important for such powerfull boosters.

Thanks Markus for the prompt answer

If I understand your suggestion, it will allow the power 7 enough time to detect the increase in current flow, and will cut the power at around 7 Ampere,
Can the locomotive decoders survive such current?
Or I totally misunderstood it

Thanks
