Issues in transfering files from premium to office edition

Hello,
I am facing the following issue when trying to recover files from our club layout files to my home computer with office edition.
Both are in version 2009.5 english.
when I upload the zip file I get everything but when trying to go to the track editor I have an error message adress.
So I founded on the forum I had to delete the windows registrery.
Once done the track editor works but I lost all the system settings I had before erasing my project name from regedit.
Any suggestion?

Hello,

I'm not sure what your question is. After erasing the registry there is no way to get your old system settings back. Some will be restored by using the maintenance tool from WDP.

Thanks for your answer.
I try  to make it clear:

I want to copy the project from the track layout to my office version at home.
I did copy the last back up ZIP file on usb stick and unzipped it using the maintenance software.
When I open the project on my office version: it works exccept when I want to go to the track editor I get the following message window: execution error N°13 incompatible type.

SO what shall I do?

No,
Only when I opened the track editor.
Note that one other thing happened when I restored the file in the office version:
The train number pannels when I open for the first time appeared in black. If I exit and restart windigipet everything looks OK.

Hello,

maybe your WDP installation needs a fix. Go to your WDP CD, start the setup and chose "repair".

I just tried to repair the software:
I have a message error saying MDAC 2.7 SP1 cannot be installed on this machine. Mdac2.7 SP1 requires one of the following configuration:
Microsoft 98 ..
windows millenium
NT ...Windows 2000
XP....

Nothing for windows 7 I am using.
Then set up will exit now.

Can this be the cause of the problem?

I just went to try again on another PC running XP SP3: same problem !!!!
I am loosing my French !!!

As far as It happened on two different computers (uesd as office) I will try on the layout first.

I have two others questions:
1) In my club we used the 2009.3 French version. We did by mistake updated to version 2009.5 which turned out to be in English.
As most of my collegues does not speak English I would like to go back to 2009.3 French.
Will the back up files of the project be stil compatible going back to 2009.3 from 2009.5?

2) As I am refreshing our layout display in windigipet , I would like to restart the route editor from scratch with Id numbers restarting from 1.
Is there a file I could erase to get shch result ?

Hello,

the files from 2009.5 should be compatible to 2009.3. But make a backup before.

To restart the IDs in the route editor, copy the file WDRoutes.mdb from the Projekte-subdirectory in the Win-Digipet installation directory into the installation directory.

Back to your first problem. When using the Data maintenace to transfer the data between the office and the layout PC, I would suggest to uncheck the button "Basic settings" before backup and restore. So you could use different basic/system settings on both PCs without getting into trouble.

The MDAC 2.7 stuff is not needed on Win XP/Vista/7. I don´t know why this message appears. If you have trouble after this unlucky repair (and only then), I would suggest to make a backup of your data, then uninstall the program and reinstall the program again.
