Updating WDP2009 to WDP2012 English Version

Hello all,

I just recently purchased WDP 2012 English version.  I searched the manual for WDP 2012 English but could not  find specifically how to update from WDP 2009 to WDP 2012.  Do I need to uninstall 2009 first or can I  install 2012 over 2009 in the same folder?  Or can I rename the current folder for 2009 and install 2012 in a new folder?

You don't have to uninstall WDP 2009. You can either install WDP 2012 into the same folder or you rename the old folder and set up 2012 separately. In both cases first make a complete backup. In the second case you recover your data after the installation.

If you keep the 2009 version you can still use the office version. The question is if you need it.

Yes, Gary did tell me that he met you and Bernd in Dortmund.   He told me that his wife was shocked that out of such a large crowd people knew him!   I will send you a pn.
