Hello All. I am using the Premium 2012 edition demo to evaluate .
I have watched the official you tube "tutorial" videos which to me is the best way of learning, being able to see and replicate suits my learning.
One small problem - it is in German !
Is there an alternative English audio description ? following the video is ok and I have muddled through by watching.
Does any one have any ideas or an alternative source than you tube.
Many thanks for any help
Philip

Hello,
I agree. There is a UK version , but no Uk video's.
It shouldn't be a problem to make subtitles or to find someone to make a new Uk voiceover.
Hopely it's only a matter of time to find someone who has time and energy to translate.

Hello Again,
I think the most effective way to make these video's suitable for UK users is by making subtitles.
If we find someone to translate everything, i will put some energy in making these subtitles in the video.
But first of all i think we should make a inventory of who is interested.

I am definitely interested in pursuing this. Since my original post I have been having mixed results with speech to text converter software. It will be quite a process, but one that I think will benefit many English speaking users of WDP and ultimately will appeal to many who are put off by the fact that it is not as (English) user friendly as RR & Co. even though, in my humble opinion, is a far better programme.

I agree that it is a great idea. The use of subtitles will make the existing videos easier to understand, while avoiding problems with using Scottish voiceovers
. While I am an experienced user of WindigiPet, I would like to see videos of new features. The Intelligent Train Numbering feature is one where I would have liked to have seen a video before I started work on implementing the changes needed to make it all work correctly.

Hello all,
To make subtitels isnt the best solution
In my opinion the screen text must also be in english language and this is not possible regarding the time to create a new Video. You can immagine this work.
Its a pitty but an english version of the videos will be never realized

James,
Peter is correct. As the owner of WindigiPet, you need to ask his permission to use the trademark in the video. As a courtesy, you should also let Peter view the video before it is posted on YouTube. From your perspective, Peter will be able to pick up any errors or omissions, and might be able to provide advice where something on the video might become obsolete as a result of an upcoming release of WDP. One example of this was the old Direct Control feature, which was removed back in version 9.x and replaced with Tour Automatic. It can save you many hours of work. Remember that 2012.3/4 is coming out later this year.
The other thing is that the video is likely to be of value of non-German speakers on the forum, who have English as a second language. They may be able to use the videos as a valuable resource to understand some of the nuances of how WDP operates. Peter and his team might be able to suggest wording that might help this group understand the video better. Perhaps you have already covered this in your draft.
I would also have a short note that this is not an official WDP video, unless Peter has other ideas.
When you have Peter's support, I will be happy to provide assistance, other than speaking on the video, for your huge project. I am not sure that my Aussie accent will do much to aid understanding by non-English speakers.
I could review the script before you commit to video and maybe even provide screenshots or video that could be included in your main video.
I think that this is an awesome project.
Regards and good luck.

Good Day Adrian
Thanks for the email i agree with your comments. I am only doing this to gie the basic ideas to start with so my customers get up and running quicker. I will go in to some detail on some toppics and not so much on others.
If you can help that would be great.
We are all still learning so any ideas would be of great help.
Many Thanks
James
