Error 13 when transferring files from 1 PC to another.

Hi,
I get error 13 when starting the project after successfully transfering itcfrom one pc to the other in windigipet 2009.3.
Any suggestions?

how did you transfer the project? Did you use the WDP tool for ex- and import?

You write WDP 2009 but your signature sais 2015. Did you try to import a 2015 project into WDP 2009? That doesn't work!

Hi Stephan,
I used the data maintenance tool of 2009.3 version.
I use 2015 but this is for a friend still using 2009.3.
We did backup to ZIP file then imported from Zip file.
It worked apparently weel. But when starting the project the error 13 appeared.

Hello,

as I said, that doesn't work. The problem is not the export and import of the ZIP file but its usage. The data structure of WDP 2015 is different from that of the 2009 version. There are more fields. WDP 2009 doesn't understand this structure and you get this error.

The only thing you can do is to install the office version of 2009 on your PC additionally in a different folder. Then you can use this version to help him.

We have a misunderstanding here.
I have never used or even looked at those files with 2015.
I am just supporting a friend using 2009.3 (french) who is having this issue with transfert from one PC to the other.
Those file have been created and transfered from 2009.3 to another PC in 2009.3. So nothing to do with 2015.

So any suggestion.

Does my friend needs to upload it as he is using 2009.3 in French?

I understand!

Yes it's always the best to have the latest update because it contains bug fixes. But in this case he hast to do the update on both PCs. I would do that first.

Also check if both WDPs are the same language because we had some translation mistakes. This also could lead to an error if the languages are different.

He have both computers same version and same update and both in French. Shall he loose the French if he makes the update from 2009.3 to 2009.5 ?

Pour l'erreur 13, je crois que c'est un problème dans la description du projet.

l'erreur 13 peut apparaître lorsque dans la description du projet (dans un fichier ou dans la base de registre pour les anciennes version de WDP) il y a comme valeur pour certain paramètres "wahr" (vrai) et ou "falsch" (faux).
Il suffit généralement de les remplacer par "True" et "False"..

Ou alors supprimer le projet.

Maybe it's the best you append the project here. Concerning the update 2009.5 I have to ask.

Issue was solved by cleaning registers using regedit on both computers.
