Marklin interface 6051
« am: 29. April 2004, 03:16:26 »
Hi all, I just received my 6051 interface and am connecting it to my computer.  I need Help in understanding the cable connection.  I understand how to hook up to the 6051 and the computer, But what is the reference to bridging the pins on the DB 9-plug?  Is this just a reference to how the cable is wired internally, or do I need to phisically change something.  Manual says to bridge pins from No.6 to No.4 and No.1 to No.4 If I need to do something HOW do I bridge these pins?  The reference to this is on page 15 of my Wni-Digpet manual international version 8.1.  Thank you for the help.

Hi Foglight,

if you use a 6051, this is normally equipped with a correct serial cable to connect it the a COM-port of your PC.

The former 6050 was identical, but WITHOUT a cable.

So nothing else to do for you, just enjoy WDP!

Regards

Rüdiger
