Joystick causes immediate program stop

If I install a joystick and indicate in the setup menus that I have a joystick Win-Digipet aborts instantly. This happens both for joysticks with a cord connection and for joysticks with a cordless connection.
I have asked about this before, and got the answer that some cordless joysticks can cause problems, but now I have tried and found that it also happens with a cord-connected joystick.

Hi Lars,

if you use Win2000 this is / seems to be a conflict with the Joystick driver. There are no (known) problems with other operating systems.

OK. I use Windows 2000, so I guess that is the problem. I might change operating system later and try again.
