interface
« am: 23. Mai 2007, 02:37:53 »
Hallo,

I would like to know how I can connect windigipet to the model railroad. I have the maerklin central station, but as I understand it is not functionable with windigipet. For the time, I have programmed Win Digipet in the pc but I can't use it.
Thank you

Digital-S-Inside and a LDT HSI-88 is one of the less expensive options.  You will need a 6017 booster to use the Digital-S-Inside.

Alternatively, you could source a second hand Intellibox..

I would wait until WDP X is available - I assume that it will operate with an upgraded Central Station, but I am not certain..

Cheers

That was a quick response! If I go for the Intellibox will I need anything extra then that?

Hello Dimitrios,

You can use the Intellibox (with a transformer for current-feeding) to control your lay out completely.
But for the feedback contacts you need the so called S88 modules. These S88 modules had to be connected to the Intellibox. Is really not difficult.

Kind regards,

Hello Adrian,

To my information here will also an upgraded Marklin central station not operate with the Pro X version.

Kind regards,

Thanks Gerard.

Do you know if it will support the ESU eCOS? Part of the reason why I did not replace my Intellibox when it died is that I wanted to see which of the unit would be supported by WDP first. I plan to buy the one (CS, eCOS or Commander) that is supported by WDP.

I have plenty of time as the Digital-S-Inside is proving to be a worthy Intellibox replacement.

Cheers

Hello Adrian,

The ESU ECoS operates with the WDP Pro X version. Have a look at the German forum. There you will find more information about the experiences. As far as I know it works fine!

Kind regards,
Gerard
