HSI-88 USB & WDP
« am: 01. Juni 2008, 23:31:20 »
Hi Dr. Peterlin et. al.

I see in the German Forum long discussions regarding LDT's HSI USB version. I had a similar problem and got spectacular blue screen crashes. I think the problem is using the RS232 version's addressing of Module 9 and 065 -240 instead of Module 55 with 433 -560.

I still cannot get the thing to read the transponder in the train number recognition under properties in the Locomotive database. I hope you or someone else can give me the exact numbers I should use in System settings under the Feedback tab. I use, on a stand alone basis one COL-10 linked to one TD-88 linked to one HSi-88-USB linked to WDP X.3.

Please help.

Pieter

Hello Pieter,

I am not sure if I do understand your question. Can you please tell me which kind and number of modules (S88, TD-88) are connected to which port of your HSI-USB.
Example:
-Port 1(left): 10 S88 modules with 16 ports
-Port 2(middle): 5 S88 modules with 16 ports
-Port 3(right): 8 S88 modules with 8 ports, behinds TD88 and Col 10 with selected receiver address xy

Beside this I do need a screen copy of your feedback settings card in the system settings of WDP and screen copy of the feedback settings for the train number display to which the detector is assigned (track diagram editor).

Best wishes
Markus

Hi Markus,

I see the English manual for Win-digipet does not mention the setup for HSI-88 USB but I managed to get some info in the Dutch and German manuals.

What I would like to know is:
Link 1 HSI-88 USB with 1 TD-88 on the left plug and 1 Col 10 to the TD-88.
Then what should the settings be in WDP? And then if you link 2 Col-10's what is the settings. (Easy)

Hope this clarifies the question

Pieter

Hello Pieter,

If I understand you in the right way, your Col-10 has been installed using address 55.

Now, first of all you will have to draw a track diagram, because you have to assign a train detector to a train number display within the track diagram. Because on this the detected locomotive number will appear.
After inserting train number display into you track diagram you have to assign them a feedback number of a normal S88 module (because only this can be used for track occupation detection) and within the feedback contact number window you can also select, that this train number display shall be assigned to the TD-88 (module address 1+2) on Link 1 of the HSI-USB and there you can select the Detector (Col-10) address 55. You have to tell the program also within the locomitive database, which locomotive has a transponder and then have to learn the transponder data for each locomotive, seealso chapter 18.15.5 concerning the train number detection.

Concerning the rest of the program I would suggest to take a look at the quick entrance chapter.

Best regards
Markus

P.S.: It is important to assign the feedback contact representing the TD-88 in your case module 1&2 of link to any free feedback contact number (see chapter 4.3.1).

Hi Markus,

You said the following:
"You have to tell the program also within the locomitive database, which locomotive has a transponder and then have to learn the transponder data for each locomotive, seealso chapter 18.15.5 concerning the train number detection."

This is exactly where my problem is. The red LED on the Col10 flashes and the green LED on the HSI88 flashes but it does not get pass the message to say it will go away when automatically as soon as it is recognized.

I hope my settings are correct????

Regards

Pieter

Hello Pieter,

Did you also assign a train number display to a detector modul? Also for the detection in the locomotive database you need a minimum of one train number display within your track diagram, that is assigned to a train detector.

Best regards
Markus
