Strange loco behaviour.
« am: 11. Januar 2009, 15:32:57 »
Hello.

I have a strange problem.  I have a loco with ESU decoder.  It runs normally around the layout under WDP control. Today, suddenly it lost almost all speed, like it runs on speed 10 or something like that.  Both WDP and the Tams controller showed normal speed (60 in WDP).  It was not possible to increase the speed, neither by WDP or manually with tha Tams.  Only to decrease/stop.  Not faster.

So I stopped and closed WDP.  Same problem still.  Tams could not get the speed up to normal.
So I turned off the power to the Tams.  When I turned it back on, all was back to normal.  Strange..

Well, I thought this must be a one-off, so I tried again.  Exactly the same happened again !

I can run for long times at normal speed when WDP is not running.  This happens only under WDP control.

I have not had time to tried this on other locos yet.

Do you know what my problem can be?  Please let me know!  I will be very grateful !

Modified:  Just found out that if I have a short-circuit (or also if I press STOP on the Tams) and next presses on "Start all locomotives at last known speed" the problem is gone again.  Untill it re-appears....  The decoder is an ESU LokPilot 2.0 decoder running DCC.

Best regards,
Per.
