Blocking Station Tracks with a switch
« am: 01. April 2010, 00:14:14 »
Hello All,

I have a 6-track station and would like to block each station track separately with a switch for each track.  Each station track has four feedback contacts and four ZNF's with the same feedback contact numbers.

So far, I have set up a virtual switch(K84) that will prevent a train from leaving a station track using the tour automatic.  Switch must be set to 'green' for the route to be allowed.  This works fine.

This does not prevent a train from entering a station track if it is unoccupied though.  How can I realize this?

Afterthought:  Do I need to put the switch in each of the routes in the station or going into the station?

Thanks for any help.

Elliott

Hi Elliott,

do you use the ZFA (Zugfahrtenautomatik = train ride automatic?)? If you do then you can set the switch as a condition for a route or train ride. Other possibility: you can assign each switch a virtual feedback contact. You add this virtual contact to your route that enters the track as an additional condition.

Greetings from Florida!

Stefan

Hello Stefan,

Thanks for your response,  I was able to get it to work by assigning a virtual feedback contact to the switches I had already set up, and incorporated those into the conditions for the route(s) to the station tracks.  I guess the same as you described.  Thanks for your efforts.

Are you enjoying Florida?

Aloha,

Elliott

Hello Elliott,

yes, that's exactly one of my proposals. Nice it works!
