Feedback sections stay occupied when train leaves section

I have this problem during my programme, on occasions (not all the time) when a loco leaves a section the feedback stays lit as though the section is s till occupied.  This has happened on different sections with different loco's at different times. Not the same sections all the time.
All the track has had a good clean and also the loco wheels have been cleaned.

Hello Chris,

what does the central show during these situations? Are the contacts occupied there, too? Then you have a problem with your contacts. Maybe the tracks of two contact sections touch each other and therefore you have the section occupied although the train is on the next section.

Track diagram says occupied. I have just been round and re cut track breaks, Just ran programme still have problem on 1 section.

Finally learnt how to do this, The Feedback monitor on WDP reads occupied but the Intellibox reads off.

this might be a driver problem of the Intellibox. Obviously the feedback contacts stay occupied in WDP where they are free again in reality. Maybe the information from the Intellibox doesn't get through to the PC.

Hi,

I don't know the Intellibox. But I'ld suggest to uninstall the driver and reinstall it. If you find a newer driver in the internet than use that.

Did as you suggested, feedbacks worked Ok but major problem, during the 255 moves 9 times different loco's went in the wrong direction, this was totally random and was Ok before, do you have any advice?

did you change the direction of those locos manually before they went into the wrong direction?

What kind of decoders do they have? Old ones? I know that some decoders forget sometimes their state.

Did you turn of the option "analog" in those decoders? If not do so.

Did not change direction manually

All are Zimo, Uhlenbrock or Lenz chips all less that 2 years old, all have run ok up to now.

I am in the process of turning off Analog, will finish that today.

Ran railway again last night, Still had 1 section show occupied when it was empty, also had 1 loco go wrong way and 1 loco would not run in WDP, ran OK when driven vie intellibox.

Any advice?

Hi Chris,

no, without seeing your layout I have to say that I don't have an idea why your feed backs don't work properly. I would make a complete backup and until stall both WDP and the Intellibox driver and reinstall it. You should install the driver first. But as I said I don't know the Intellibox.

Is that one of your locos where you already switched analog off?

Does that loco that doesn't run have a maximum speed of zero or one of its wagons.

Loco did not have analogue switched off

speed set ok, loco was running ok before yesterday.
