Hi.

Look at the included screen-shot.  Is there any reason why this should not work?  It does not..

The switch with adress 1055 (the one directly to the left of the Dispatcher window) does not change at all.  I can change it by clicking on it, but the dispatcher will not change it.  I do not see why..?  Do you?  Let me know :)

Best regards,
Per.

Hello Per,

Most common failure here is a "think" failure.

" action = reaction "

as long there is no action, there will be no reaction in the dispatcher. So if you go from free to occupied there is a reaction and the dispatcher will do his thing.

The same as a counter ... Suppose you set one counter ...

with RMK 12 = free then counter A = +1 . i will garantee you nothing will happen.
With RMK 12 = occupied then counter A = +1 will work. as soon it goes from free to occupied.

So remember... there should always be a action for a reaction ( read : there should be a change in status for a reaction)

Hope this will clear it for you ...

Hello.

OK, I understand.  So I have to re-think this.  I wanted to use it to monitor the RMKs all the time.  I understand now that I cannot do it like this.

Thanks for your help.

Per

Hi Per

Your switch address 1055 will always be at Green because with an OR condition it is enough that one contact is free to meet your condition. Have you try to select the option "Check Condition" from the context menu to see how your condition will act? If you activate the simulation and set the "Check Condition" option than you can change the status of your contacts in the schema and see what happens.

Hi !

No, it will not always be green!  I am using this to check for free tracks in the shadow-station.  I need to know if there are any free tracks of certain lengths, before the train starts moving to the parking-area.  I have more than 60 tracks for parking trains...

Never mind, I have fixed the problem myself.  Now it Works fine.

Best regards,
Per.

Hello Per,

It's also possible to work with counters ....

ZitatI need to know if there are any free tracks of certain lengths, before the train starts moving to the parking-area.  I have more than 60 tracks for parking trains...

counter 0 all free , as soon one train enters a certain track counter +1 .... the same for leaving ... counter -1
so you have also a more visual idea of what is happening :-)

Hello again.

I also use counters a lot, but not for this.  I operate with many different train-lengths and need to be able to always find the shortest possible track available.  If there are no tracks available at that length, I search for the next, longer, tracks etc.

Anyways, it is all fixed and all is OK now.  Works perfect.

Per.

Hello Per,

Great that your wish has become reality :-)

ZitatIf there are no tracks available at that length, I search for the next, longer, tracks etc.

I understand why now.

my configuration is not the same as yours. I have 5 tracks of each 10 meters. I parted track 1,2 and 3 in parts of 2.50 meters.
Track 4 is parted in parts of 1,50 meters and track 5 is parted in pieces of 50cm.

So i made a matrix for each train where he can be stationed in my Schadowstation. i'm not interested if a train is available or not. i work with length and sort ( passenger, cargo , steam etc etc )

If i want a cargotrain to drive around i press the cargo button. And so it;s done with all my trains. So i'm only interested if a track is full or empty :-)
