Resetting a counter from an automatic
« am: 31. Dezember 2015, 16:12:40 »

As we are still missing the English manual I hope someone will be able to explain to me how to reset a counter from a button and within an automatic.

In the example from the WDP2015 there is a counter "ZFA Steuerung" that has a button (0094 with a virtual address) next to it; this button resets the counter but my German is not good enough to figure out from the manual how to do that?

Likewise, the automatik "kontakt_zfa.ZFA" has a line 002 that resets this counter, but how does that happen?

Best wishes for a happy new year

Hello Peter,

If you want a translation, just put in this line in a message. Or otherwhise refer to the page your looking at ..
Maybe i can help you this way.

I can also offer you my solution, but that is no translation, it's just what you prefer.

Grtz ....

Eric

Thank you for the offer to translate, but that unfortunately does really answer my question.

What I would like explained is how the button "ZFA Steuerung" in the WDP2015 example resets a counter; if someone can explain that, even in German, I can translate that myself

Thank you in advance
Peter

Hi Peter,
the answer to your question is quite easy. But there are two parts of Win-Digipet working together in this example. Lets take a look to both of them.

First give patience for the line 002 in the Tour-Automatic Editor. In the column "time" you can see that the virtual switch "reset" will be set to green every day at midnight (00:00:00). Please refer by pressing the little arrow in the "time" field.

In the upcoming dialogue the time is set for departure time 00:00:00 on every day. By setting the radio button to "departure time" (default is "by arrival") you'll see another option below the displayed clock. It is named "switch solenoid devices only". By choosing this option one you can switch up to ten solenoid devices, undepend if they are virtual or real.

This is the first part. Lets move to the second part. Close the tour-automatic editor and open the dispatcher. If you can't find the dispatcher you have to turn it on in the options menu once.

Please refer to line 0026 "ZFA Zähler auf 0 setzen". Left-handed in the conditions field you'll find our switch again. The condition is set to green. In the middle field you gonna see the counter "ZFA Steuerung".

It say when the conditions are valid (virtual switch=green), set this counter to the value=00.

By default our switch is in red condition but the Automatic set the switch to green every day at midnight.

So that's the whole secret. Try it by yourself, it's great!  8)

regards
Bernd

Dear Bernd

Thanks a lot for your answer;  I have not had succes with getting it to work yet in my own automatic, but I think that I understand the way it works.

Is it possible to enter more than one counter in the dispatcher window?

Thanks again
Peter

Hello Peter,
yes, you can put a mount of thirty switches (counters) in one dispatcher entry. If you further need some help with your project, feel free to upload it here and describe the challenge.

Bernd
