Hi Per,

maybe it´s misunderstood: I meant the "Interval for reading feedback contacts in the WDP-System-setting, section "Intellibox/Icum". Please check, if the time is at e.g. 100ms.

Let me summarize: You have changed the PC, IB, serial cable, Operating System, have checked the settings, the stop-contact is physically long enough (approx. 40cm), the "acceleration" (loc-database) is not too low, and so on...
So I´m simply out of ideas, because the amounts (Locs, Routes, etc.) you are reporting is as trivial, so I really wonder, why you still encounter a problem (assuming that electronically and physically your model railroad is without any "problems").

Please send the following data to my email-address:

GBild.dat
WDRoutes.mdb
*.fpl (timetable Ops)
AK-.dat (Auto by demand contacts)
and the RTF-file you are able to generate, if you click at the name of your project (project settings) in the upper bar.

Regards

Rüdiger

Hello Thorsten !

Thanks again.  You wrote
"I'm confident we will fix your problems. Don't forsake."
I am glad to hear that !  SMILE !!!!

Yes, I have re-installed the operating system (in fact, I have done that several times).

Yes, there is a network installed.  Nothing special, and in idle-mode (before I start WDP) the CPU-usage is 0-1%.

Here is a repeat of all I have done so far (as far as I can remember):
I re-installed (again..) Windows XP Professional.  Absolutely NO other software, no extra drivers, no virus-scanner etc has been installed.  CPU-usage before WDP is 0-1% (se my messages in the forum).
I re-installed (again..) WDP, and upgraded to the latest version (english) found on the WDP-homepage.  I checked all the setups to the best of my knowledge, but find nothing wrong.
I uploaded new software to the Intellibox.  I thought I had the newest, but today I found one newer, so I updated it today.
I made a new RS-232 cable, making sure that it is correctly wired.
I tried with 2 other computers.  First with one similar to my own (500MHz and 384Mb memory) but with Windows98SE instead of WinXP, as I normally use.  No change.  Next I tried with my sons "racer", a 2.6GHz PC.  Same result, only difference was that the loco did stop a bit faster after the "overshoot".
From before I have exchanged the Intellibox for a new one.
I have installed a new RS-232 card in the PC.
I tested with running only 1 loco through the entire layout.  No problems at all, loco always stopped correctly.  As I ran only one loco, there were no other routes to switch...
I tried with 2, 3, 4 and 5 trainsets.  Everything does work perfect as long as no routes are being switched as one loco is just about to enter the brake-contact.  But every time one route is starting to switch just as one loco enter the brake-contact, that loco always "overshootes".  It does stop, but too late.

I run only Demand Contact (which I love, by the way !).

Regards,
Per.

Hello again !

"maybe it´s misunderstood: I meant the "Interval for reading feedback contacts in the WDP-System-setting, section "Intellibox/Icum". Please check, if the time is at e.g. 100ms."

The interval is not in Intellibox/Icum section, it is in "Digital System" section.  Anyway, I re-checked this.  I have tried with value 140 and 50.  Same.

I will send the requested files to your email.

Regards,
Per.
