Routes
« am: 29. März 2004, 20:31:19 »
Dear Sirs

I have now installed an LDT HSI-88 interface and as a result I can run my locomotives and the feedback contacts seem to work.  However when drawing a route no grey squares appear at the contacts which have been selected (These squares sometimes show locomotive numbers)and as a result I cannot switch and ride because I get the messages:"no relase contact selected" and "no start/destination contact selected."  Can somebody help me?

Hi Michael,

this sounds to me that you have probably made some configuration faults.
I recommend to load Workshop #13 (English Version) and you will see some pretty good examples in how to use Routes, etc. In addition you can also download all relevant project data of this Workshop - so you have a good comparison to the configuration of your environment.

Alternatively, please call the Infoline (Mondays 20.00-22.00) and we will guide you through simultaneously.

Regards

Rüdiger

Dear Ruediger

I have checked my system settings and they appear OK.  You can check my project status (sent on the 12th), the only difference being the addition of the LDT interface. The insructions assume the trainnumber squares appear by default.  I have set the start/finnish and release contacts but the computer still will not respond to me right clicking on the beginning and end contacts presumably because of no trainnumber squares.  Thank you for your reply.

Hi Michael,

Please send me the following data to my email address:

GBild.dat
WDRoutes.mdb

These files are in the WDP standard folder, e.g. c:\WDigipet.
Checking your data on my PC is by far easier than giving suggestions from the distance.

Hi Ruediger

Thank you for looking at my data.  I have tried many times to add locnumber panels but I can't seem to do it.  I know I should right click and drag a loco onto a blank panel but I am unable to create a blank panel.  Maybe I have missed something ?

Hi Michael,

just open the Track-Layout-Editor and in the attached picture you can see the button (marled in BLUE) for the locnumber-panels.
Please notice: There MUST be a feedback contact assigned to each locnumber-panel!

For example:
1. Draw your layout by placing track symbols
2. Place solenoid devices (turnouts, signals, switches, etc.)
3. Assign addresses to those solenoid devices
4. assign feedback contacts to the track symbols where appropriate and corresponding to your real layout.
5. Place locnumber-panels wherever you want a loc to start/stop controlled by WDP (as shown in the example I sent you).

Regards

Rüdiger

P.S.: Forget the RED line in the picture! I just had no "clean" picture available...

Hi Ruediger

Thank you for solving my problem.  It was something very simple which I even remember reading about but I did not understand at the time. Thanks again for letting me trouble you for such a simple solution.
