Program the L.D.T decoder with the Intellibox
« am: 03. Juni 2003, 04:15:38 »
Hi to all
I change the 6021(Marklin C.U+6051) to the new INTELLIBOX ! The 6021 was connected to a few L.D.T QS-DEC-II and it work fine, now with the Intellibox the decoders not respond.
Shuld I programming some option in the Intellibox before I programming the decoder via the WINDIGIPET ?

1) I didnt conncted the programming track exit of the Intellibox to track ! (may be that the reason ?)

2) The decoders connected to the main digital current !

Thanks
uzi

Hi Uzi,

congratulation for the 1st User message posted in THIS forum!!!

As far as I know, QS-DEC-II are solenoid device decoders of LDT for the Motorola-protocol.

If you had no problems using these decoders with CU6021/6051 then there should also be no problem by using it with the IB!

The only thing what could be wrong is, that your IB is not configured for Motorola format as default. Then the IB will send DCC format to the decoders - and nothing will happen - really nothing

Just have a look in your IB-manual and change the data format for your decoders to Motorola.

Alternatively (just for test purposes) you can change the Digital System in your WDP system settings from "Intellibox" to "Marklin" - then it should work as well.

I recommend to check the first suggestion.

Regards

Rüdiger

Hi Uzi,

did you already test this:
Is it possible to switch the solenoids with the red and green buttons of the IB in keyboard-mode?

If answer ist NO:
Please check the IB settings (as Rüdiger wrote)

If answer is YES:
Please check WDP settings - especially those for the IB

ad 1.)
The "programming track" is only needed by programming loco-decoders. Anyway this track should not be connected to the "main circuit".

ad 2)
This should be correct.
Mit freundlichen Grüßen
