The train move backward
« am: 09. August 2003, 16:23:42 »
Hi to all
I install a XP operation software & I improve the memory to 256 M.B.
Then I copy all the necessary file & the data of the locomotive.
Some of them drive backwords while I work with the AK !
And sometime the loco go forward although the route ask for backwords !
Why does it happen ?

Thanks
Uzi

Hi Uzi,

the only thing I could imagine is, that your locs were not in sync after you have started WDP.

Check this: Start WDP after reboot, check the directions of your locs one by one by moving them manually or via "Switch & Drive" and if everything is proper start the Automatic again. I guess it works.

Hi Mr. Dietloff
Now I have another problem whith the locomotive direction .
When I work whith the AC outomatic and the program chooses to move the train from point b to c (for example) backwards it works perfect.  the problem is that from this point the train continue to go back instad forward.
It means that the prpgram does not cancel the last order (turn loco).  All my locos are in a forward position by difault.
I work with the intelibox, At the user setting with "MOTOROLA NEW 27" formate.  all the locos in the windigipet are on the same formate.
I try to change the format in the I.B and also in the W.P it doesnt help.

please help!!!
thanks

Hi Uzi,

I assume this only happens when you use the Automatic by Demand Contacts?!
If you enter a turn-direction-command for a loc at a demand contact the Loc will turn direction - therefore you have to do this again at another demand contact so that the loc is driving in the right direction again.

Example: The train just arrived at the railway station then it should turn (direction change) and go backwards to a dead-end-track.
After it has reached its destination at the dead-end-track you have to change direction again in the next command when the train (now forward) shall proceed driving again.

Please try and let me know about the outcome.

Hi Rudiger
I find this solution last night by myshelf & it's work very good !!!
I'm almost sure (not 100%)that befor I use the I.B or befor the last update of the Windigipet 8.0 it works good without to change dierction to the next route.
Anyway I thank you with all my heart.

Other question:
1) I must to buy the turning loop module for activate the turntable with the W.P ?
2)There is no other way to stop the locos at the middle of the turntable without reedkontakt.

Thanks

Hi Uzi,

we haven´t change anything regarding the direction command between V8.1 and V8.41 International, but it sounds good to me that you have solved the problem already.

To use the turntable in a Marklin environment you need the turntable equipped with the special decoder.
On the German page you will find Workshop #10 about how to modify the turntable to use it more comfortable (equipped with a feedback contact) within WDP. Maybe there is somebody in your neighbourhood who is familiar with German language...or the pictures gives you an idea how to modify it (on your own risk).

Modification of turntable
« Antwort #6 am: 20. August 2003, 23:26:52 »
Hello Mr. Zadikov,

if you want to modify your turntable please DO NOT cut the contacts from the table to the rails. Try to isolate them with tape or something like that.

I'm working on a continuation of worshop 10. Unfortunately in german (Sorry).

Because I'm very busy at the moment, the publication will take a little longer.
Mit freundlichen Grüßen
Olivier (De Bastiani)
