eCOS to support mFx
« am: 05. Oktober 2008, 09:33:03 »
ESU have announced that the eCOS will support mFx from version 3.0.0 which will be released early 2009.  I realise that it is not possible to be absolutely certain about an untested version, but do you anticipate any problems with the proposed change announced by ESU?  Will the English edition of WDP X allow the eCOS to utilise mFx without any problems?

Cheers
Adrian

Hello Adrian,

I think there will be no problem. Only decoder type settings should be set manually when transferring locos between ECoS and WDP. An the automatic popup window for MFX loco detection wouldn´t be avaiable for the ECoS until the next version of WDP.

Regards
Markus

Thanks Markus..  I will let you know if I see anything odd after the update..

WDP X has been very stable for me now that I have the eCOS.. I always suspected that most of my problems with earlier versions of WDP were mostly due to the Intellibox or the digital-s-inside.

I am looking forward to the next release.. I hope that it is available after the eCOS gets the mFx update...

Cheers
Adrian
