Repeat Circle tour without slowing down for each tour, in Win-digipet Version 2009.1 Premium Edition:

Hi,
Does anyone know:

Is it possible to repeat a tour an x number of times where star and stop contact is the same, without the train brakes down and restart at the common start/stop switch. Example in a Circle tour consisting of 5 routes the train shall run 6 times in a circle tour before it brakes down and stop. (Condition In this example: the next route is always empty) If yes how?

Best regard
Allan

Hello Allan,

welcome to the forum!

No, this is not possible. Every time a tour is finished WDP has to check again if there is a route starting at the point where the train stopped and if the conditions allow to start that route.

I assume that you use one of the automatics? What you can do is to move the starting point of your routes to an invisible area of your layout. Then it seems that the trains keep moving. Or you start and stop at a station where all trains have to stop.

Can you please fill in your signature. Then you don't have to tell us again and again what kind of WDP version you have or which railway system etc. and we don't have to ask.
Viele Grüße,
Stefan

Hello Stefan,

Thanks for your quick answer, of the possibility to have the starting point an invisible area.
I've tried to make a long tour starting at Station A. Track 2, run several rounds through Station A Track 1 and then end the tour again on station A track 2.it works. I have also tried to insert a circle tour in "Tour-schedule-editor" tab "follow-On-Tour" this works fine 1 time, when the main circle tour is complete continues the tour there is included in "follow-On-Tour" without slowing down speed if the next route is free. But this method only works for one extension. In future WDP it will be nice to have the possibility to use the counter to continue a circle tour without braking before the counter condition is reached.

Note: A little vacation, have delayed a follow up.

Best regards

Allan

Hello Allan,

you should not create tours that are longer than one round. Let your tour start at your station A at any track and let it stop when the train almost reached the station again. Let it stop at the last signal in front of the station. This will be one tour. Then in the tab "follow-on-tour" you enter all tours starting at the station and ending on each track. If you have 4 tracks you will have 4 follow-on-tours. If the first track is blocked WDP will automatically look for the next available track.

Did you know that there are other Danish WDP users in this forum? E. g. Christof Zirpel. I'm sure you can ask him, too.

Have a nice vacation and I'm looking forward for your next question.
Viele Grüße,
Stefan
