Size difference in document

I quickly looked at both the German and English manuals and noticed that there is differenece of about 100 and some pages in total between the two.

Is the only difference just a number of pictures not in the English version but in the German version?

Hello Matthew,

the difference in the number of pages has the following reasons:

• In most cases the translations were made by meaning and not word by word. Due to this fact it is quite obvious, that different people (german author and me) have a different style of explanation which will result in a different number of words/pages for the same content. It is also quite normal, that description in english do need fewer words than in german. This explanation is also valid for the removement of few pictures.
• Few very german examples (which are only valid for exact reconstruction of german railroad operation) have been removed or shortened.

The aim of the english manual is to describe every function of the program as well as in the german version, but not to be an exact word by word translation.

Thank you for clarifying, I just wanted to make sure that the important parts or concept of the program did not get lost in the translation.  This means that the English manual will be slightly thinner when I go to print it and then bind it into a book like the German version.
