Hello again.

What I meant in last post, was:
How if I edit the last 2 lines in the profile to this:
At RMK 35 speed=0
At RMK 35 STOP after 10 seconds
Is this possible?

Would make it very easy... :)

I believe at RMK 35 the train would just stop and ignore any release conditions.  Is RMK 35 the destination contact?  If so, the release condition would be set after 10 seconds, but will be ignored if the check contact sees that the next route is free.

Hi.

Yes, 35 is the destination contact (for this particular route).

Hello again.

No, I am sorry, I cannot make this work....  All I try, I either get no delay, or the train passes by the STOP-contact.

I have a virtual solenoid and RMK with both adress 999.

In Route-editor I have Ziel 999 and Freigaben 35 and 999 Occupied.

Profile: Look at the attached clip.

Am I doing something (more...) wrong?

Regards,
Per.

Hello Per,

I think you have too many lines in your profile. (See my example)  You do not need the V000 line and the Stop command should be on the destination contact not the virtual contact.

What are your release conditions?  The destination contact should be occupied and the virtual contact should be free. (See my example)

Do you have the virtual set correctly and as a virtual solenoid device?

Hope this helps you a little further :)

Elliott

Hello again !

Thanks again for your help.

Are you sure your example really DOES work?  In real life, not only in simulation? I tried it (with my values), but it was not OK here.  The loco did not stop at the destination but after the delay.  Not so good...

Anyway, I have done a lot of testing today, and I now have a setup that actually works.

The virtual contact I set BUSY (not FREE, as you do, I find it more logical to end the route with both contacts BUSY).  In the profile I first set it FREE, then BUSY when the route is to be released.

I enclose some screenshots, so you can see.  And this does work....  Maybe it should not..? :)

If you have any suggestions for a simpler setup. please tell me.  But it must actually work, not only in simulation.. :) :)

Best regards,
Per

Hi Per,

I'm glad it works. You found a solution that is similar to what I proposed before
the 2nd last command (row) would be 0 km/h when reaching RMK 35. The last: STOP when reaching RMK 999. You care about a delay before the switch 999 changes its state and RMK is set to besetzt.

However I didn't try my proposal and yours works. Great! Well done and have fun with your layout!
Viele Grüße,
Stefan

Hello Per,

I'm glad you got it to work :)  Mine does work on the layout also.  It's just a matter of what color you want the switch to be set at when the virtual contact is occupied.  I set mine to Red whereas you set yours to Green ;)

Anyway, I'm glad it works for you!

Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Hello again, both, and thanks for all help !

Elliot; as your setup is more simple then mine, I tried it again (on another route), but it still does not work.  In the sense that the train does not stop at the stop-contact as long as the timer is still running.  It looks as if the profile does not continue to the STOP-command until the time from the timer is over.  So the train does not stop where it should.  I put in a long delay, to make sure that it was correct.  With my setup (the one that works) the train stops at the stop-contact, but the route is not released until the timer is over. But with your setup (converted to my layout), the train is not given the STOP-command until the timer is over, so the loco overshoots the stop-contact.

I send you my screenshots of my last setup, the one looking like yours, that does not work.  Can you see what the problem may be?  As your works, mine should too?  As it is simpler than my last (working) one, I would like to use this new one, if I can make it work.

Regards,
Per.

Hello Per,

I tried my setup again on my layout and it did NOT work.  I thought it was working, but the delay I had was due to the next route not being free (The matrix prevented the locomotive I was using from entering the free tracks).  I incorrectly thought that there was a delay.  When using another locomotive, it went through as you described.  Sorry for the confusion.

You should stick to your original WORKING setup.  I will try yours too when I get home today. ;)

Aloha,

Elliott

Hello again !

Thank you for your feedback.  Yes, I am now using my working setup, and will stick to that, untill something more simple comes along.

I suggested to Mr.Peterlin a future change/addition to the software, either to delay the route-release to after the inserted wait-time in the line for the stop-contact, or/and a seperate delay to be configured and inserted as one would please.  Maybe for a future update, who knows.

Thanks again,
best regards from

So it will be a White Christmas this year.
