Help with Workshop 8 pictures

Hello,
I was looking at Workshop 8 where the K-Track Switch (New) is made to allow the use of feedbacks for the switch. The pictures in the German instructions and the English instructions differ slightly. In the German instructions it looks like the two outermost rails are cut, but the English instructions shows one outer rail and the movable portion of the switch should be cut.(see picture) I'm assuming the outermost rails should be cut, but I just wanted to be sure before I cut an expensive switch
Thanks for you help
Elliott

Hello Elliot,
the picture of the German version is correct. The arrow within the picture of the English instruction seems to be dislocated. If you would cut the movable portion you can't use the switch any longer because there isn't any fixture for the rest of the movable portion.
But you can change a K-track-switch into a "feedback-switch" without cutting the outer rails. There are only two cuts to make in this A-shaped metal part between the inner rails. Please look at the pictures in the description how to change a C-track-switch in the annex. There is this A-shaped-metal part shown before and after the cuts. This is fully sufficient to make a K-track-switch useable for feedbacks.
I hope you will understand this description and you will achieve what you have on.

Hello Ralf,
Thank you for your response. I like the idea of removing the A-form and making the required cuts for a feedback switch. I'm not at home right now and don't have a switch handy, but does this require access from underneath the switch? It may be difficult to do on track that has already been laid, so I may cut the rails on the ones in the layout and try your method with the ones that have not been installed yet.
Thanks again for your response.
