How do you set up the turntable in the track diagram?

Hello WDP'rs,

I have a 7286 turntable from Märklin and would like to incorporate it in the track diagram.  So far, I have drawn the table as shown on the attachment.  I have two feedback contacts per shed track and the turntable track has one feedback contact.  Currently I don't have a decoder to operate the the turntable digitally, but I would like to set up routes to each of the shed tracks and turn the table manually...is this possible?

I tried using jumpers from the table to the shed tracks but only the first one will work (I can't get multiple jumpers from one start point to each of the shed tracks)  Is there another way?

Hello Elliott,

well, I think the most simple way is to create all routes but not to add them into the automatic. When the turn table is in the correct possition you can use the routes manually. Since you manage your turn table manually this is an option.

If you want to use the automatic then I would add a signal or switch right on the turn table. You will always be responsible that the turn table is in the right position. If it's not the switch shows red. If it is it's green. You change the switch manually. Add the switch to your routes with the condition that it has to be green. Thus the train will only run if the switch is green.

Thanks for your response.  Entering the routes manually does the trick...I tried to do it automatically with the routes wizard but a route could not be found.  I like the idea of the switch I'll try to incorporate it into the routes.

jumpers are always a one-to-one-connection between two endpoints. A turntable and traverser (hope this is the correct word) are the only cases a track can have theoretically more than one connecting point.
