Windows 8 and WDP 2012.1
« am: 28. Januar 2013, 04:02:41 »
I have just returned home from a wonderful holiday that included a short time in Cologne only to find out that the train computer's power supply exploded taking with it the expensive motherboard.. So I have to go and buy a new computer.  The problem is that the new computers only seem to come with Windows 8.

Does anyone know if WDP 2012.1 works with Windows 8?

Cheers from down under
Adrian

Hello Adrian,

yes, that's no problem. I also run WDP under Windows 8. You only have to make sure you have the latest drivers for your hardware.
Viele Grüße,
Stefan

I have just got the new 2012 disk home and I was shattered to see the old computer go up in smoke.. I am off to buy a new one tomorrow..

Hallo Adrian,

as you can see in my profile I bought a low cost PC which is nowadays a quad core. This is more than fast enough for WDP!

My last computer was 4 years old and only a duo-core.. I felt that it was a little too slow when the layout was busy.. I was thinking of an Intel i5 this time - hopefully I can get another 4 years out of it..

Thanks again for you help and insight.
