krancontrol.wdp error on WDP 2012.2 installation

You may recall that Markus kindly provided an English update to the krancontrol.wdp file for the 2012.1 WDP.  (see http://www.windigipet.de/foren/index.php?topic=69040.0 )

My first attempts at installing 2012.2 failed with the error message "Can't copy krancontrol.wdp" or similar. After I moved the updated file from the C:\WINDIGIPET_INT folder to the Desktop, the installation proceeded without problems.

However, after the installation I noticed that the German krancontrol.wdp has returned to the C:\WINDIGIPET_INT folder.  I have restored the updated English version to my folder and it works, but is this still the correct file for WDP 2102.2?

I have not had a chance to give the new version a work out, but a read of the manual shows that there is going to be some very useful new features. Well done everyone!

Hi Adrian,

Maybe your krancontrol.wdp was Write-protected. Now After the Update Installation just copy back the englisch Version of the Krancontrol.wdp. This should still be valid, maybe just one crane is missing, I will check this within the next days,

That was my first thought too. I checked the permissions on the krancontrol.wdp file.  Full Control was set on the file. I even ran the installation as Administrator and had the same error. Nothing worked until I moved the file out of the folder.
