BiDiB & Railcom accessory position feedback
« am: 16. August 2015, 03:49:31 »
I do some tests for my new layout with BiDiB modules. WDP offers great possibility in pairing with BiDiB and I'm amazed on it. My question is about other Railcom enabled accessory decoders connected to the DCC booster port, i.e. not under BiDiB bus. Some decoders like ESU SwitchPilot are Railcom enabled and send feedback data. In WDP turnout configuration window the Railcom position feedback seems to be option only for an ECoS. Is there any way to utilize Railcom feedback from accessory decoders over the DCC port using BiDiB system?

Hi Kuba,

No this not supported until now. As far as I understood different decoder manufacturs use different kinds of feedback.
I don´t have a plan when this can be included with full functionality in Win-Digipet.

Markus, thank you for answering. It is good to know before building new layout.
By the way, talking about Railcom turnout position feedback, on my current layout with ECoS I've change Railcom feedback to specific time, because it happened from time to time that position from SwitchPilot was not reported correctly via Railcom and routes in WDP were not executed just waiting for feedback.
