Hello.

I think I am missing something...  This is probably easy, but I cannot see it.  Maybe you can help?

I have a standard route (actually several, but lets focus on 1) for a train leaving a station.  Works fine.
 
But this is the "problem":  Right after leaving the station, there is a railway crossing.  I have put in a delay in the automatic, so that after the route is activated, there is a delay of 8 seconds, so the crossing has time to close the gates before the train departs.  But the "problem" is that the signal shows green at once when the route is activated, even before the gates are closed.

So I want the signal to wait for a certain delay after the route is activated (before the train starts moving) before it turns green to allow the train to leave.

So that the route is activated, but light is still red when the gates are closing, and THEN the light turns green, and then, after an additional delay, the train departs.  As it would in real life

This is probably easy, but i cannot see it. Any help is appreciated.

Hi Per,

maybe you have to create a new route:

Route with the exit signal remaining on red.

Then in the profile you choose this route.

You start the route with the following profile:
Start
After some seconds you close the gates.
After some seconds more you turn the signal to green.
Some seconds more you start the train.
You turn the signal to red.
When te train passed the gates, you open them....

Did I get your idea?

This would be my idea, hope it works

I have just tested my new setup with changes made to the profile and route.  And it works fine.  I just saw your message now, and your suggestion seems to be pretty much the way I did it.  Will check tomorrow.

Hello again.

In the automatic, I have a delay of 8sec before the train should start to move.  I did not change this.

First I changed the route, to NOT turn the signal to green at the beginning.  But the route still closes the gates at startup.  In this case the gates start closing when the route is started, as I want.  It takes some 5sec to close.

Next I changed the profile for that route to turn the signal to green with no delay.

Lastly I put in a delay of 3sec before the train starts to move.

In my case, this works fine.

Looking at your suggestion, I think I will try this, as it seems to be more clear and easier to use.  Except for the delay before closing the gates, they may start to close at once when the profile is activated, I think I prefer that

OK about Bonn.  I have never been there, but I am sure it is a nice place.  I have a daughter and her two sons in Billund, Denmark, as we visit as often as we can, then we use to drive just across the border to Germany for some shopping    I have not been any other places in Germany.  Sorry..
